Please note: Due to safety concerns, absolutely no children under 12 years of age are permitted on our tour. This includes infants and babes in arms. This is a working chocolate factory, so there may be machines running which are very loud, and sudden loud noises are common. Sorry, we cannot make any exceptions. Please call us at (424) 240-8580 if you have any questions.

All attendees will be required to wear a mask and a hairnet in the production area during the tour.

If you have any allergies or reactions to cacao or chocolate, please do not attend the tour. We will not offer refunds for day-of or in-person notifications of allergies to chocolate.

Our address is 2835 S. Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90034.

How long is the tour?

Approximately 45 minutes. Depending on the size of the group and number of questions asked, we may run over slightly, but it’s extremely important that you arrive on time for the full experience.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

Our factory is quite small, so while we can accommodate wheelchairs, please let us know ahead of time if anyone in your group will be using a wheelchair or walker so we can make accommodations. If you require additional assistance, please call us at 1-424-240-8580 or email us before booking a tour.

What is covered in the tour?

The tour takes place in 3 sections. First, in the front area, we’ll discuss the history of the company, what does bean to bar mean, and post-harvest fermentation. Next, we go into the production area with hairnets and tour the machines with explanations and tastings along the way. Then, we come back into the front area and sample a selection of our different bars! Please note that our factory usually operates every day, and while you will most likely see machinery operating during the tour, we cannot guarantee what you will experience on any given day as our production schedule varies.

Do you have parking?

We have metered parking out front (free on Sundays). There is free 2 hour street parking on Hargis St around the corner.
Please do not park at the back of the building or the neighboring parking lot in the back.

What should I wear on the tour?

We recommend comfortable closed-toed shoes for the tour. Stiletto heels, fur, faux fur, feathers, and glitter are strongly discouraged inside the tour areas. LetterPress Chocolate is a fragrance-free facility, so please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne. Be sure to share these regulations with members of your party so everyone comes prepared.

How many people are on a tour?

Our public tours are limited to 8 people so everyone has an opportunity to ask questions and have a great experience. For private tours, please find a spot on the calendar that has 8 slots available and book all 8 slots. If you require additional assistance, please call us at 1-424-240-8580 or email us before booking a tour.

My child under 12 would love this tour! Can I bring them?

No. Our factory tour is similar to touring a brewery or distillery. There are lots of loud dangerous machines and everyone needs to stay within the lines, and honestly, most children under 12 would find the tour boring as it’s an educational experience. We do not make exceptions for children under 12, ever, so please don’t call and ask us to make an exception.

What is the difference between a private and public tour?

Public tours have mixed parties of up to 8 people. For private tours, the tour group would consist of only your party. At this time, we can only accommodate up to 8 people on a private tour. For private tours, please find a spot on the calendar that has 8 slots available and book all 8 slots. If you require additional assistance, please call us at 1-424-240-8580 or email us before booking a tour.

What is your policy regarding children?

Given the format of our public tour, children under 12 years of age are not permitted on our standard factory tour. This includes babes in arms and infants.

Can I take pictures/video on the tour?

Absolutely! You are encouraged to take as many pictures and videos as you like while on the tour and in the retail shop.

What is your cancellation policy?

All ticket sales are final. If you need to change the date or time of your tour, you may do so by calling (424) 240-8580 or email corey@letterpresschocolate.com.
You can do this up to 24 hours in advance of your scheduled tour time. Please note that once you have paid for your tour, we only offer refunds 48 hours prior to the date of your tour.
- If you need to rebook your tour within 24-48 hours of your tour time, you will be charged a rebooking fee of $5.
- If you need to rebook your tour within 24 hours of your tour time, you'll need to pay the full cost of the tour to rebook: $20.

What if I’m running late?

Our tours generally start right at the scheduled time. If you are running more than 5 minutes late, we ask that you give us a call at (424) 240-8580 so we can make a note of this and hold your spots. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we will require you to rebook your tour. Please note that if you need to reschedule less than 24 hours from your tour time, we will charge you a $20 rebooking fee per person.

Can I tip my tour guide?

If you enjoyed your tour and would like to give your tour guide a tip, you are welcome to. Of course, Yelp and Google reviews are awesome and we definitely appreciate them!

What is the lead time for booking a tour?

Reservations are required. Weekends and holidays tend to book up quickly, so we advise booking 3-4 weeks ahead to get the day and time you desire. If you’d like to book a private tour for 8 guests or more, please find a spot on the calendar that has 8 slots available and book all 8 slots.
